The Foundations focus primarily on mission-related, targeted Funding Priorities and proactively seek organizations and programs to support, rather than operating within the conventional grant-cycle framework. Generally, the Foundations do not accept unsolicited grant requests; instead, grant requests are considered through a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Invitation to Submit (ITS) process.
Working cooperatively with other agencies and organizations, the Foundations identify community needs that can be significantly impacted by investing financial and other resources. The Foundations then initiate collaborative efforts with the most appropriate partners to develop an approach that best addresses the identified need. Rather than duplicating existing services, every effort is made to support organizations already addressing a targeted issue.
