Foundation Advances Healthy Food Access in Southeastern Ohio

As part of its Healthy Food Access Initiative, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville (OHFN) has approved continued support for efforts designed to measurably increase the accessibility, affordability and consumption of healthy foods by low-income, vulnerable populations in southeast Ohio. Capital Improvement Request for Proposals Released

The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation will again partner with The Columbus Foundation to support capital campaigns and projects designed to improve the delivery, quality and efficiency of nonprofits serving vulnerable populations in Franklin County. Since 2014, this foundation partnership has approved nearly $6.4 million in support for central Ohio organizations working to address significant community issues, including mental health services, early childhood education, hunger and homelessness. Susan G. Komen® Columbus and OHFN Funding Awards Announced

In March, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville (OHFN) and Susan G. Komen® Columbus announced funding awards through the 2017-2018 Southeastern Ohio Breast Health Initiative. “The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville is proud to partner with Komen Columbus to ensure vulnerable women in southeast Ohio have improved access to screening, increasing the rate of early detection and reducing late-stage breast cancer diagnoses,” said Susan Beaudry, director of programs, Osteopathic Heritage Foundations. Terri Donlin Huesman Promoted to Executive Vice President

Ms. Terri Donlin Huesman has been promoted to Executive Vice President of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations, previously serving as the Foundations’ Vice President of Programs. Ms. Donlin Huesman has been with the Foundations for nearly 20 years and has served in a number of positions, primarily in the areas of development and grantmaking.
