Heritage College Unveils New Mobile Clinic

In early November 2018, the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (Heritage College) introduced its newest mobile clinic during a community event on Nelsonville’s Public Square.  The new mobile clinic is part of the Heritage College’s Community Health Programs which provide free and reduced-cost health care services throughout southeastern Ohio. In December, Steven E. Cox was elected to the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation Board of Directors.  A life-long Nelsonville resident, Mr. Cox serves as the President/CEO of Nelsonville Home and Savings and provides leadership for numerous activities and civic organizations, including service on the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville Board of Directors since 2010.

AOA Appoints Terri Donlin Huesman to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education and the Bureau of Osteopathic Clinical Education and Research

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) has appointed Terri Donlin Huesman, President/CEO, to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education and the Bureau of Osteopathic Clinical Education and Research.  The AOA advances the philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine by connecting the professional family of more than 137,000 osteopathic physicians and medical students across the country.  

AOA acts as the primary certifying body for Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) and the accrediting agency for all osteopathic medical schools.  While promoting public health and encouraging scientific research, the AOA also advocates at the state and federal levels on issues that affect DOs, osteopathic medical students and patients.

New Roles at the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations

In November, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations’ Susan Beaudry and Beverly Rinehart assumed new roles as Vice President and Grants Assistant & Office Manager, respectively.  The newly aligned roles will prepare the Foundations for continued operational and programmatic success in the future.
