The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville (the Foundation) and Susan G. Komen® Columbus (Komen Columbus) are pleased to announce a newly formed funding partnership designed to reduce barriers and increase access to breast health services and continuum of care in southeastern Ohio.

With a shared commitment to improving health and quality of life in the region, the Foundation and Komen Columbus are launching the Southeastern Ohio Breast Health Initiative to increase the total amount of funding available to community programs in counties served by each organization, including: Athens, Hocking, Meigs, Morgan, Perry and Vinton counties.

To learn more about the Southeastern Ohio Breast Health Initiative (part of the Breast Health Navigation Program) - and how to apply - please visit the Komen Columbus website or call the Komen Columbus office at 614-297-8155 or TOLL FREE 1-866-611-2873.

“In an effort to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the next 10 years, this partnership with OHFN allows us to bring more resources to this region and save lives. Currently, Southeast Ohio has one third of the diagnoses and deaths in our entire 30-county service area. It's our collective responsibility to do what we can to advance innovative solutions that reduce barriers and increase access.” -Katie Carter, Executive Director at Susan G. Komen® Columbus.
