The Osteopathic Heritage Foundations support community health and quality of life programs in central and southeastern Ohio as well as advance, on a local and national scope, osteopathic medical care, medical research and osteopathic medical education. Position Summary:

The Program Administrator will coordinate and implement approved grantmaking and communications processes, including planning, managing and evaluating processes and strategies to effectively advance the Foundations’ mission, vision and goals.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating the overall grantmaking process, including application development, technical assistance, managing reporting and proposal requirements; oversight and management of grants database system and data; and coordinating and supporting the communications strategy, including website, social media, reports and electronic communications.  

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor-level college degree required, with at least five years of experience in an environment with multiple objectives and activities, preferably in a nonprofit and/or philanthropic setting. 
  • Grantmaking and grants management experience.
  • Extensive computer skills with knowledge of GIFTS database desired and competency in the use of electronic communication and other office management technology.
  • Familiarity with the needs and challenges of community service organizations within the Foundations’ service areas.
  • Understanding of financial budgeting processes and a general understanding of accounting principles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with experience in addressing diverse groups.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
  • General knowledge of basic research techniques.
  • Willingness to travel as required in fulfilling responsibilities.
