About the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations:

The Osteopathic Heritage Foundations (the Foundations) support community health and quality of life programs in central and southeastern Ohio as well as advance, on a local and national scope, osteopathic medical care, medical research and osteopathic medical education. 

Position Summary:

The Director of Operations and Special Projects is a new position and will be an integral part of transforming the Foundations’ operations supporting programs, finance and investment. The Foundations investment and finance/accounting functions are performed by retained external consulting firms. The Director of Operations and Special Projects will provide leadership and management for internal administrative, human resources and information systems functions to advance the Foundations’ operations; serve as the primary liaison and coordinator of the retained finance / accounting and investment firms; and contribute to the implementation of the grantmaking program. The Director of Operations and Special Projects will work collaboratively with the Vice President and assist the President/CEO in planning, implementing and managing programs, activities and operations of the Foundations.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field. The candidate should also have ten or more years of progressive experience in non-profit or for-profit business settings and an understanding of basic accounting, finance and/or business administration. Additional qualifications and characteristics include: commitment to vision, mission and values of the Foundations; demonstrated experience in managing, directing and delegating; effective presentation, public speaking and communication skills; demonstrated experience in working as a supportive team member in organizations with a small, diverse staff; and willingness to travel as required in fulfilling responsibilities and obtaining educational experiences to support high-level work performance.
