Funding Priorities

Improving Oral Health Care

The Foundations seek the following overarching outcomes as a result of grantmaking investments in the Oral Health Care Funding Priority.
  • Advocacy efforts that result in additional support and leveraged resources to address unmet oral health care needs.
  • Increases in the availability and affordability of oral health care services in underserved areas.
  • Dental safety net clinics that increase their sustainability through operational and clinical efficiencies.
  • Increases in the number of individuals and families that have their basic dental health care needs met.

The Foundation is providing $5,000 to Voices for Ohio's Children to support the Children’s Oral Health Action Team (COHAT), a statewide, interdisciplinary oral health advocacy and action group. COHAT will develop a strategic focus and action plan designed to increase access, quality and education of oral health care for Ohio’s children. Other funders include the Sisters of Charity of Canton and HealthPath Foundation of Ohio.
