“Bounty on the Bricks is a remarkable expression of a community’s commitment to address the food insecurity experienced by vulnerable families in the region,” said Susan Beaudry, director of programs, Osteopathic Heritage Foundations. “Our Nelsonville-based Foundation (OHFN) is proud to join OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital and other funders in the region to match funds raised through this special event to support the Southeast Ohio Foodbank and its network of food pantries.”

This year’s Bounty on the Bricks fundraiser once again brought together over 300 city officials, program supporters, volunteers and community members in early August for an impressive locally grown and prepared meal in support of the Southeast Ohio Foodbank and its member agencies.

OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital led the signature event, which continues to grow in popularity and impact since first launched by the Athens County Foundation in 2013. The proceeds from the dinner along Court Street in Athens will be matched by OHFN and Sisters Health Foundation to help address food insecurity in southeast Ohio. Over the previous four years, Bounty on the Bricks has raised over $315,000 for 127 grants directed to 50 organizations, including the Southeast Ohio Food Bank and an eight-county food pantry network, which reaches approximately 30,000 individuals a month.
