Access to Oral Health

The Osteopathic Heritage Foundations have prioritized and advanced efforts to increase access to oral health care services for low-income and uninsured populations, primarily by supporting case management programs, assessment and capacity building for dental safety net clinics, training and education, advocacy efforts and collaboration.

Most recently, the Foundations have partnered with Hopewell Health Centers to include dental among the service offerings at the Mary Hill Center (formerly Doctors Hospital Nelsonville).  This dental safety net clinic will provide much needed access to dental hygiene and restorative services to the residents of Nelsonville and surrounding communities.  The Mary Hill Center will serve 3,000-4,000 low-income dental patients annually, after the clinic is fully operational in 2019.
