Strategic partners and collaboration are essential to advancing the Foundation’s mission to improve the health and quality of life in the community through education, research and service consistent with its osteopathic heritage. Since 2013, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville (OHFN) has collaborated with the Athens Foundation and the Rocky Community Improvement Fund to leverage resources in support of 195 programs serving vulnerable populations in southeastern Ohio, especially in Athens County. Investments from OHFN were targeted to programs impacting health and wellness, education and mentoring and human services. Additional grants were made in support of the arts and community improvement projects.
