Recognizing the value of community leadership programs and the importance of developing, connecting and inspiring leaders who will serve as catalysts in building strong and vibrant communities, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations have prioritized support of and participation in local leadership programs.

In June 2016, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville renewed its commitment to Leadership Athens County, approving $22,500 over three years to support the community leadership training program.

Also in June, Susan Beaudry, director of programs, graduated from the 2016 Leadership Columbus Signature Program. As part of the ten-month long program, Ms. Beaudry participated in a community impact project working with Amethyst, an addiction recovery center for women, to create a business plan for a proposed childcare center serving clients and the community.
