Periodically, the Foundations issue funding opportunities to advance priorities and initiatives. Funding investments are considered through an invitation to submit process, request for proposals or funding collaboration, in which resources are distributed in partnership with another funder. The Foundations do not accept unsolicited proposals. Current opportunities are listed below.
Healthy Food, Healthy Franklin County Request for Proposals
The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation is now accepting applications from nonprofit and public organizations for the Healthy Food, Healthy Franklin County Request for Proposals, supporting projects to measurably increase the availability, affordability and consumption of healthy, local food among low-access, low-income communities in Franklin County. To be considered for funding, organizations must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by January 28, 2022, using the form located on the Foundation’s online grantmaking system.

ACF Partnership Response and Resilience Fund
The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville and the Athens County Foundation (ACF) are accepting applications to provide support to nonprofit and public organizations in/serving Athens County, Ohio by responding to emergent needs outside of traditional funding cycles. RCIF Partnership Fall 2021 Grant Cycle
The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville and the Rocky Community Improvement Fund (RCIF) closed applications for this opportunity on October 15, 2021. Funding awards will be announced in December to support agencies serving Nelsonville, Ohio and surrounding areas with support focused on healthy food access, educational opportunities, behavioral health services, programming for older adults, initiatives addressing family housing and the financial security impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
