Funding Opportunities

Periodically, the Foundations issue funding opportunities to advance priorities and initiatives. Funding investments are considered through an invitation to submit process, request for proposals or funding collaboration, in which resources are distributed in partnership with another funder. The Foundations do not accept unsolicited proposals. Current opportunities are listed below.

Current Opportunities

RCIF Partnership Fall 2023 Grant Cycle 

The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville and the Rocky Community Improvement Fund (RCIF) are accepting applications from agencies serving Athens and surrounding counties, with an emphasis on organizations serving Nelsonville, Ohio. Through its 2023 grants, RCIF and OHFN are supporting programs focused on healthy food access, educational opportunities, behavioral health services, and programming for older adults. Applications are due October 13, 2023. Funding awards will be announced in December. For more information, visit the RCIF website.

Recently Closed Opportunities

25 Years of Service and Impact, Request for Proposals for Franklin County

To commemorate 25 years of grantmaking, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations launched a 25 Years of Service and Impact initiative, beginning with a Request for Proposals (RFP) to support organizations in Franklin County addressing critical health and human service needs in the community. Through the RFP, the Foundations will support projects and initiatives aligned with two of its current funding priorities, healthy food access and behavioral health and substance use disorders, as well as additional strategies to improve health outcomes by addressing other social determinants of health. The Foundations are in the process of reviewing submitted Letters of Intent. Organizations invited to submit a full proposal will receive an invitation on Friday, September 29, 2023.
