The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville (the Foundation) and the Rocky Community Improvement Fund (RCIF) are pleased to announce their 2022 spring grant cycle funding partnership.
The Foundation and RCIF invite applications from agencies serving Athens and surrounding counties, with an emphasis on organizations serving Nelsonville, Ohio. Funding priorities include programs that provide healthy food access, educational opportunities for youth, behavioral health services and/or programs for older adults. Since 2013, the Foundation and RCIF have partnered to award more than $600,000 to support programs serving vulnerable populations in southeastern Ohio through semi-annual funding cycles. In 2021, the Foundation and RCIF jointly awarded 24 grants totaling $82,313. Previous grants awarded through this partnership are listed on the RCIF website.
Rocky Community Improvement Fund
The mission of the Rocky Community Improvement Fund (RCIF) is to provide impactful support to our local communities by awarding grants to build a clean, safe and healthy community for our neighbors. RCIF is a donor advised fund operated through the Athens County Foundation.
Osteopathic Heritage Foundations
The mission of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation and the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville (the Foundations) is to improve the health and quality of life in the community through education, research and service consistent with our osteopathic heritage. The Foundations advance this mission through strategic partnerships, multiyear funding commitments, funding collaborations and significant investments in some of the most pressing health and social issues in the community.
