In October, Rick Vincent, President/CEO was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, presented by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), to recognize leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the understanding and advancement of the osteopathic medical profession.
The Distinguished Service Award, which is the American Osteopathic Association’s highest honor, was presented at the annual Osteopathic Medical Conference and Exposition in October 2017. Mr. Vincent received the well-deserved award in honor of his many years of advocacy for osteopathic medical care.
In nominating Mr. Vincent for the award, Bill Burke, DO, Dean of Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dublin and AOA Trustee, wrote, “It is personally gratifying to see the AOA’s recognition of the visionary leadership Rick Vincent has demonstrated in a remarkable 46-year career supporting osteopathic medicine, osteopathic research and osteopathic medical education. Under Rick’s guidance, the OHF has become a major philanthropic contributor for effective and sustainable strategies to advance osteopathic medicine and enhance osteopathic medical care. The impact of this support is significant – providing access to high quality medical care now and in the future for the citizens of Ohio and beyond.”
